I say look at lots of art. all kinds not even just the illustrative art you’re exposed to usually thru social media, explore fine art too. explore all kinds of art. Find a kind that u like. Think: What do i like about this? The line quality? The colors? The subjects the forms the shapes etc etc figure out what you want from art. And then u implement the things and techniques that interest u into your own art.
Now, there is a big difference between replicating an art style and developing your own. You develop your own by channeling things you enjoy into your own art, not by attempting to be somebody else lol. Anyway whatever thats my advice it’s different for everybody but that’s the general experience i think hahaha.
